Donate to Assistance Dogs Australia through NSW Return and Earn

Starting from 24th, people in NSW will be able to donate to Assistance Dogs Australia by participating in the Return and Earn drink container recycling scheme.

Under this scheme, a 10 cent refund is available when eligible beverage containers are returned to collection points.

Participating is simple – even fun! Click below to watch a video on how to use a Return and Earn machine.

The funds you help us raise will go towards training future Assistance Dogs like Summer, the yellow labrador, who was born in January. In a few weeks’ time, Summer will be old enough to leave the nest and start Assistance Dog training.

It will take $40,000 over two years of training to turn Summer into an Assistance Dog, so she can one day help an Australian who is living with mobility needs, autism or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

If you’re not already familiar with Return and Earn, now’s the time to get on board. By recycling your empty cans and bottles at a Return and Earn machine, you are helping turn rubbish into resources. It is a closed loop of recycling that turns waste back into products that re-enter the local supply chain, over and over again, reducing landfill.

Visit the website www.returnandearn.org.au to learn more.

It costs over $60,000 to train and place an Assistance Dog.

Your donation helps covers training, vaccinations, food and equipment for an Assistance Dog, who is given to a client free of charge.
