Assistance Dogs Australia partners with Virbac

We are so excited to announce our new partnership with Virbac Animal Health who will provide Milpro – a broad-spectrum wormer to all dogs in our care, as well as Assistance Dogs paired with clients.

Regular worming is an essential part of keeping any pet healthy and happy, and it is no different for our dogs at ADA.

Dogs can be exposed to a range of internal parasites in their everyday activities, which can have significant outcomes on their health if they are not protected. In some cases, these parasites can even affect humans, particularly children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems so it’s critical to regularly deworm dogs to protect them and their handlers from preventable diseases.

Our National Dog Welfare Manager, Maggie Armitstead, said:

A monthly dose of Milpro treats and controls roundworm, whipworm, tapeworm and hookworm. It will also prevent heartworm infection in dogs.
