There are lots of occasions throughout the year that make for perfect fundraising opportunities for a good cause.
Some examples include timing fundraising to a special day like International Dog Day or specific week, such as National Volunteer Week (usually in May) or World Occupational Therapy Week (usually in October).
Or why not celebrate during Dogtober?
You can also pick a local event based on your location, such as the CitytoSurf in Sydney.
Your generosity will help to fund the specialised training sessions that make Assistance Dogs the highly skilled and well-behaved service dogs you see at the shops, or on public transport.

World Occupational Therapy Week – Starts 24 October
World Occupational Therapy Day – 27 October
Remembrance Day – 11 Nov
Giving Tuesday – 29 November
International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD) – 3 December
International Volunteer Day – 5 December
But you don’t need to be limited to these dates to fundraise. You can also fundraise on your own personal milestones, like a birthday or other celebration.
