From Farewells to Fresh Starts: Celebrating Group B and Welcoming Groups C & D
Everyday life can feel impossible for a young adult like Charli. Her childhood was marked by seizures, anxiety, and the daily struggles of living with autism and complex disability.
Then Kev came into her life.
Kev is Charli’s Assistance Dog, her best friend, her comfort, her lifeline.
With Kev by her side, Charli can enjoy life’s simple joys with confidence and independence.
Our remarkable dogs change lives.
Whether through our Assistance Dog programs supporting people to have increased independence, improved emotional regulation or greater social inclusion or in group settings supporting confidence, inclusion and wellbeing.

Whether it is through puppy caring or lending your skills in other areas, we are immensely grateful.
There are many flexible options to be a volunteer. If you are keen to help with puppy care, you can be a full time carer, a weekend carer, a short term or emergency carer or even a co-parent.
Assistance Dogs Australia (ADA) is a national for-purpose charity dedicated to breeding, training and placing highly skilled and accredited dogs with Australians living with physical disabilities, complex autism, or severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Led by a belief that cost should never be a barrier to access, Assistance Dogs Australia provides each highly skilled companion dog completely free of charge and relies on the generosity of individuals, corporate partners and philanthropic groups to continue its vital work.
