An Early Christmas Gift from Santa Paws
Three year old Jordan Rogers who lives with muscular dystrophy, has received an early Christmas gift from Santa Paws this year - her new Assistance Dog, Wanda.
Assistance Dog’s Australia’s beautiful and quirky black Labrador was welcomed into the Rogers’ family only last week as Jordan’s Companion Dog, but she has already made paw prints on the family’s hearts forever.
Wanda lends Jordan a helping paw and has already begun to change her life, giving her the freedom to lead a more independent life. Wanda is there to pick up toys that Jordan drops, she is there to help Jordan open doors and she is there as Jordan’s best friend, providing friendship and love. She makes Jordan smile with just a wag of her tail.
“Wanda has been fantastic. She gives Jordan more independence because when she’s playing or drops things Wanda is there to help herâ€, Natalie Jordan’s mum said. “Having a dog is just so exciting and fun for the whole family and Wanda makes life so much better. Christmas has come early for Jordan and all of usâ€.
For the newest Assistance Dogs team, the mind doggling pawsibilities are endless. As a Companion Dog, Wanda is trained to provide Jordan with physical and emotional therapy, allowing her to achieve age appropriate independence as she moves through life.
