Salty Sea Dogs Breakfast goes off a treat

Salty Sea Dogs Breakfast Hostess - Elise Rechichi

To celebrate Olympic Sailing Gold Medallist, Elise Rechichi sailing on board to help the paw, she and Assistance Dogs Australia hosted the Salty Sea Dogs’ Breakfast on Sunday the 29th November at Banks reserve in Mt Lawley.

People and their dogs registered to participate in the communal doggie walk. Upon their return, the dogs were greeted with a chop licking breakfast while their two legged friends watched obedience displays and a display by the local dog sledding club.

A fun time was had by all and lots of money raised for the pups at Assistance Dogs Australia.

These dogs really do blow the wind out of your sails, performing tasks that are difficult if not impossible for people with physical disabilities to achieve – tasks such as opening and closing doors, retrieving all manner of objects such as keys and mobile phones, pressing the button at the traffic lights, paying the cashier at the shops and even getting bottles of water out of the fridge.

Thanks to everyone who came, all those that were involved in helping organising the day and donating their time and resources to make it happen.
We had a ball and we hope you did too.
