Golden Dogs to Enjoy Golden Years
After 10 years of loyalty and hard work the time has arrived for three of Assistance Dogs Australia's longest serving K9s to hang up their service dog jackets.
At a glittering event in their honour hosted by Network 7's Margurite McKinnon and aptly titled the Golden Handshake Dinner, Bonny Bess and Buster with their owners Tanya Sutton Kathy Walden and Tim McCallum enjoyed the limelight and adulation of the large
crowd.
Entertaining heart-warming and humorous anecdotes where shared by the three who opened their hearts to Network Ten interviewers Deborah Knight and Dr Chris Brown who presented each dog with their new retirement jacket kindly supplied by Kramar.

The patrons were happy to hear that the retiring dogs will spend their twilight years safe and warm in the care of their owners immediate families.
Tim and Tanya have already been united with their new hounds Roxy and Roscoe, successful graduates of the Kirkconnell Correctional Facility Pups in Prison program.
Roxy the bubbly yellow Labrador has bonded well with time who is becoming accustomed to the exuberance of his new K9 Partner.
Similarly Tanya who now has Roscoe the sleek black Labrador has enjoyed the teaming with her new service dog.
An added surprise was the visit of Roscoe?'s name sake, Channel Seven's Sydney nightly news reader Ian Ross, who has been following Roscoe's progress with a keen interest.
