Assistance Dogs Australia Week

Australia will go to the dogs on the week of 22^nd – 30^th November, honouring the work of Assistance Dogs Australia’s dog gooders.

 

While Assistance Dogs Australia celebrates the change these dogs can make to people’s lives every day, we use this week to raise awareness, pawsing for our course and demonstrating the way our dogs can give freedom and independence to people with physical disabilities.

 

Assistance Dogs help people with physical disabilities across Australia everyday by performing physical tasks like opening and closing doors, picking up dropped items, pressing the button at the traffic lights, alert barking when their recipient is in trouble and they can even unloaded the washing machine.
